In 2022, a coalition of Eastern European nations known as the Contigratzy Coalition launched a major expansionist conflict that became known as The Eastern March. The Western powers ultimately won, but the cost of victory destabilized much of the world. Critical infrastructure failed and the UN deployed Stabilization Forces.
Emergency controls sparked resistance. The United States dissolved into Ten Administrative Districts; conflict with the American Separatist Party (ASEP) became the CONUS Wars. By 2033, District 3 remains one of the last organized territories still contested by surviving factions.
